One of the top chairs carried by Brookstone is the Osim U-Harmony II.  This is their luxury model which comes with full body massage capability. The new U-Harmony II comes in an ultra modern design. The side panel of this recliner has an X-shaped design with wooden arm rests.

This recliner comes with some nice massage features. It has a handheld remote with a liquid crystal display. The display shows you the status of the massage operations in real-time.

There is a power recline of the chair back as well as for the leg rest. Simply push and hold the button until you find the angle in which to receive your massage. This makes it easy and convenient to relax.

This massage chair has full body massage capability. It has a roller massage for the back neck and shoulders. It also has vibration treatments for the seat area. You also find that it has a calf massager for the legs.

There are a number of automatic programs contained in the U-Harmony two. These are pre-programmed massages which operate the entire chair. Simply select the program depending on your needs. You can select from six different automatic programs.

This recliner also comes with manual massage techniques. The manual massage technique allows you to target specific areas with a given massage motion. Manual massages include tapping, rolling, kneading and inverse kneading.

In the manual massage modes, you can adjust the roller width for the tapping and the rolling. There are three different width settings for the spacing of the rollers.

The calf massager has one of the longest leg wells available. This is great for positioning your legs for relief in the calf muscles. The calf massager does not contain a foot well and does not provide a foot massage without bending your knees to position your feet into the leg wells.

One nice feature of this recliner from Osim is the addition of heat. The built-in heat makes the massage feel better. Heat therapy helps to relax your muscles which enhance the soothing effects of the massage treatments.

This recliner also includes a jack to attach an MP3 music player or CD player. However, instead of including headphones, this model has built-in speakers. The only problem with built-in speakers is that it is a potential distraction to other people in the room not using the chair.

The seat comes with a seat vibration massage. You can adjust the intensity of the vibration to suit your needs. Vibration is good for a stimulating the capillary vessels to enhance blood flow in the buttocks.

This recliner is shorter than most of the chairs in this price range. This means if you are taller than you may not get the full benefit of the massage going up and down your back. However, one of the nice features is that the leg rest is extendable which allows you to position it much more effectively for the legs.

Overall, the U-Harmony II delivers an OK massage.  I was expecting more strength for the back which was a bit of a disappointment.  The remote control is easy to use and is intuitive with the LCD display.  Most massage chairs in this price range that have music include the MP3 player with the recliner. For some reason, only an audio input jack is included and the music must come from an external player.

 Brookstone has carried a wide range of massage chairs and its current luxury model is the Osim U-Harmony II. The massage is fairly effective in this recliner and the leg rest is adjustable to better fit your legs. The design is ultramodern and may not be as suitable for a traditional decor. As far as massage goes, it has many therapeutic features and is certainly one to consider in this price category.
